Where Have We Been?

It has been a while since we published this newsletter only because we’ve been up to our eyeballs in some very nice projects for our clients over the past couple of months:

  • A complete web site redesign that reflects our clients branding strategy and also interfaces with their business system. We also added a customer resource area so customer can ask specific application or troubleshooting questions and receive answers.

  • Redesign of a 200 page catalog to make product ordering easier and sets the stage for a content management initiative so catalog content can be reused in parts catalogs on the web and more.

  • Two rollouts of new products that included literature, press tours, ads, web sites, tradeshow support and more. Both introductions have met with great success and barrels of free PR ink and customer inquiries.

  • Developed vehicle wrap graphics for one of our client’s service vehicles. These rolling billboards go beyond just the logo and phone number on the door to explain the many services the company offers.

Reaching the Decision Makers

Scott Baker’s article in the Redmond Channel Partner online newsletter (Microsoft Partner Newsletter) offers some very good tips on identifying, reaching and selling decision makers. He offers some good advice on finding the decision makers including questions to ask, crafting and delivering messages and making the connection.

One of the tricks he includes is a sneaky way to reach someone by phone that hasn’t been returning your calls. Simply call another extension in the company and say: “Oops, sorry I dialed the wrong extension. Can you connect me to so-and-so.

The Public Bath?

In ancient times, public baths were places that men of learning and curiosity gathered to exchange ideas. Today those places no longer exist (unless you count hot tubs), so we've tried to adapt the bath's open freewheeling tone into a newsletter. We hope you'll read our Public Bath in just that spirit.

The Public Bath is not "first-thing-on-Monday" reading. Rather, it is more like "fifteen-minutes-till lunch on Friday" or, "on hold" reading. Some material is amusing, some sociological, some newsy and we hope -- all thought-provoking.

We also want to answer your questions and hear your reactions. Have a topic you would like us to explore? Let us know that too. After all, public baths are places for both listening and talking.
